There will be three-tier security cordons on the rivers during Mahakumbh 2025

Water Police has prepared a three-tier security cordon for Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. Special attention is being paid to the safety of devotees especially in VIP areas like Kilaghat. Steps like checking boats, barricading in deep water, deployment of police for surveillance are being taken.

Prayagraj: For the safety of crores of devotees coming for Mahakumbh 2025, a three-tier security cordon has been created by the Water Police. In this, attention will be focused on each devotee. Special security arrangements have been made at Kilaghat for VIP movement. Special forces have been deployed here so that no devotee faces any kind of problem.

Not only this, special security arrangements are being made from Saraswati Ghat to Sangam Ghat. Deep water barricading is being done here. Apart from this, the work of installing round-the-clock nets at the ghat is in its final stages.

Janardan Prasad Sahni, in-charge of the water police of Kila police station, said that every boat is being checked before the Mahakumbh. For this, a test boat has been arranged. First of all, the test boat will check any boat. Only after complete satisfaction, a boat will be launched into the water.

Extensive security arrangements are being made from the nose of the Sangam to Kilaghat. For this, PAC, SDRF and NDRF jawans will be deployed together to protect the devotees.

This is how the three-tier security circle will work

The water police has made special arrangements for the safety of the devotees. Under this, a three-tier security circle has been created. The first team will be deployed outside the ghat for crowd management. If there is excessive crowd there, the devotees will be diverted to different routes.

A second security circle will be deployed in the boat for the convenience of the devotees during bathing. In addition, if any facilities are available, the force will easily reach the helpless people. A third security ring will be deployed to help devotees safely exit after bathing.

Red stripes will warn devotees

Janardhan Prasad Sahni said that special arrangements have been made so that devotees do not face any problem coming out after bathing during the Maha Kumbh. Special red stripes will be installed on the boats, which will warn tourists.

Police will monitor 24 hours

Special arrangements have been made so that devotees coming from India and abroad do not face any security problem during the MahaKumbh. Here, police flag boats will be deployed 24 hours to keep an eye on people bathing in the Sangam. Security personnel will reach the spot in the blink of an eye as soon as any danger is detected.

Besides, each ghat will be opened for devotees only after proper inspection. Extensive security arrangements are being made at Arail, Jhunsi, Phaphamau and Someshwar ghats.
